Little Planet develops and executes customized outdoor education programs for international schools throughout South East Asia. Collectively, The Little Planet family brings over sixty years of experience creating and executing project and expedition based outdoor education programs.
Developed to suit the specific needs of each group, our programs seamlessly incorporate age-appropriate activities and valuable experiential education.
Location, Location, Location
You could not ask for a more affective and engaging environment for your students. Our backyard is the Tioman Wildlife Reserve, teeming with a wide range of tropical flora and fauna. At our doorstep lies the largest Marine Park and Reserve in the region, protecting an extensive array of coral and diverse marine life.Immediate access to this diverse and delicate ecosystem provides a rare opportunity to immerse students in subject matter and provide them with an amazing hands-on learning experience.
Customized Experiential Education
Depending on the size of your group, we are equipped to take your students on a wide range of activities including sea kayaking expeditions, snorkeling excursions and jungle treks lasting from a few hours to a few days. Our resources include sailboats, a fully certified dive center and rock-climbing facilities. Little Planet can also educate your students about the local environment, its culture and folklore and the importance of respecting the natural environment. The threat of development and its potential destruction of Tioman's fragile ecosystem make conservation and environmental stewardship key components of our mandate. By promoting awareness and understanding of our environment, we foster a respect for our planet in the hopes that program participants will pass on this knowledge and inspire others.
Juara Turtle Project
In addition to being surrounded by a national marine reserve, Little Planet also affords access to the Juara Turtle Project which actively works to protect the threatened future of sea turtles in Malaysia. Operated by the The Lagoon, the Juara Turtle Project protects approximately 10,000 turtle eggs each year, including those of critically endangered species such as the Hawksbill sea turtle.
