Do I go to Interest Group Activities with my cabin mates?
Not unless they have selected the same optional activities as you. But you will engage
in activities with other campers in your age group and get the chance to meet more friends.
You will also have plenty of time to have fun with your room mates during Cabin Activity
Periods.
What are the counsellors like?
In addition to being qualified instructors, Little Planet counsellors are interesting
and fun-loving characters from around the globe. Would you like to learn kayaking from
an instructor who has kayaked all over the world? Would you like to learn how to sail
from an instructor who is a competitive international racer or learn rock climbing from
someone who has climbed the Canadian Rockies and mountains in China? It can all happen
at Little Planet.
All of our Counsellors are there to make sure that you feel great and have an amazing
time at camp. They are like entertaining big brothers and sisters and they will support
you in any way they can.
What is the food like at camp?
All of meals and snacks are tasty and also nutritious (which will make your parents happy).
We have BBQs, desserts most days, campfire treats, juices and fruit available all the time
and daily snacks. Our menu incorporates delicious, fresh local foods as much as possible.
Where is Little Planet?
Little Planet operates out of The Juara Lagoon on the white sands of Juara Beach on the east
side of Tioman Island in Malaysia. We're right on the water on the south end of the beach.
It's truly an amazing spot.
Is camp really as much fun as you say it is?
Definitely! Living and playing every day on a beautiful beach with great people, cool toys,
ocean waves, a lush jungle nearby and instructors dedicated to having fun all day long...
what could be better?
I'm coming to camp alone. Will I be the only one?
Almost all our campers come alone. By the end of the first day you'll have many new friends!
If this is your first time, it's normal to feel nervous, but you'll soon feel great and
wonder what you were even worried about.
What are the cabins like? Where are the washrooms?
Our beach front cabins are simple, clean and very well maintained. They are spacious and can
accommodate up to four people with plenty of space for your personal belongings. Cabins are
well ventilated and each has its own bathroom and an overhead fan.
Is it really hot?
Little Planet campers benefit from our amazing location. Two rivers (the white water Mentawak
and the Barok) flow from Kajang Mountain and bring a sense of freshness and cool clean air.
We are also right on the water and get those refreshing ocean breezes.
